GMB Sponsor Public Pre- Election Discussion On 27th March In Redruth With Showing Of Ken Loach Film “The Spirit Of 45”
We want to make it easier and enjoyable to take part in political discussion, to be comfortable asking questions and to find ways to become involved to make a difference says GMB.
GMB Camborne Branch is inviting members and non-members to join a pre-election discussion on Friday 27th March with the showing of Ken Loach’s acclaimed and inspiring film “THE SPIRIT of 45”.
The details of the event are as follows:

In attendance will be GMB Regional Political Officer, Mike Payne and local Labour Party Candidate, Michael Foster on hand to answer any questions, and to discuss the relevance of the labour & trade union movement today.
Kim Cunningham, Camborne Branch Political Officer, said “The film is an inspiring insight into what can be achieved when Trade Unionists and a Government with the Political Will, can achieve when they work together for the greater good.
We want to make it easier and enjoyable for people of all ages to take part in political discussion and activism, to be comfortable about asking questions and to find simple ways to become involved and to make a difference.
This is our first attempt at this type of event, and so we hope people will come along and maybe make suggestions for future events.”
