GMB Members say yes to political fund in the fourth ballot since the 1980s.
Members recognise the importance of having a political voice and they will not be silenced says GMB.
GMB members have voted in a postal ballot conducted by the Electoral Reform Service to retain a political fund.
This is the fourth time GMB members have voted to retain a political fund since the Tory Government in the 1980s introduced a law requiring trades unions to hold a postal ballot of individual members every ten years on the issue.
Cath Speight, GMB National Political Officer, said "Once again GMB has had to spend members money conducting a political fund ballot asking a question we know the answer to and again our members have said Yes, 95% of GMB members recognise the importance of having a political voice and they will not be silenced."
