GMB Protest At Pembrokeshire County Hall Today (Friday 8th August) Over Loss Of Confidence In Chief Executive
Protest is to put pressure on elected councillors to intervene and deal with what is a complete loss of confidence in the Chief Executive says GMB.
GMB members will join with members of UNISON and Unite in a protest demonstration on Friday 8th August outside Pembrokeshire County Hall to show the complete loss of confidence in the Chief Executive of Pembrokeshire County Council.
The protest is to take place at lunch time outside County Hall in Haverfordwest and members of the public are invited to attend.
Anthea Phillips, GMB Regional Officer, said “GMB members will take part in this protest to put pressure on elected councillors to intervene and deal with what is a complete loss of confidence in the Chief Executive.
Councillors need to be aware of the strength of feelings over the catalogue of failures and concerns under the leadership of Bryn Parry-Jones.
Councillors must act after the recent disclosure that Gloucestershire police are to carry out a new investigation into new evidence in relation to the controversial pension payments made to Mr Parry-Jones and another senior council officer.”
