GMB Scotland Support Bid By Neil Findlay For Leader And Katy Clark For Deputy Leader Of The Scottish Labour Party
The view of the Regional committee following a lengthy debate was that it was time for change and that Labour had to return to its roots and regain our socialist values says GMB Scotland.
GMB Scotland issued a statement on Saturday 8th November on the current Scottish Labour Party leadership election now underway.
Harry Donaldson, Secretary GMB Scotland, said “GMB Scotland, one of the major affiliates to the Labour Party, has decided following an intensive process to support Neil Findlay in his bid to become Leader of the Scottish Labour Party and Katy Clark for the position of Deputy Leader.
After having gone through a thorough process in which all five candidates for the Leader and Deputy Leader were interviewed, the lay member led Scottish Regional Committee decided to support Neil Findlay and Katy Clark for leader and deputy leader.
