The details of the launch event are as follows:
From 9.30am to 10.45am on Monday 3rd March

The Apprenticeship Charter will be signed by Ian Curryer, Chief Executive Nottingham City Council and trade union officers. Councillor McDonald, Portfolio Holder for Jobs and Growth and Andy Vaughan Director for Neighbourhood Services will speak. There will be a video and presentation of ‘graduate’ certificates in recognition of apprentices moving into permanent roles.
Craig Stuart, GMB education officer Midlands & East Coast Region, said “GMB is supporting this event as we see the influx of new apprentices as great news for the local Nottingham economy and for the young people themselves. They are the life blood of a healthy economy.
GMB is currently working with Nottingham City Council on their Apprenticeship Programme. We welcome this major launch taking place during National Apprenticeship Week.
As part of the celebrations of National Apprenticeship Week, there will be stories about the Apprenticeship Scheme and about the impact of employment on the apprentice’s lives. There will be opportunities to meet apprentices who have completed their apprenticeship and have now secured posts, as well as the chance to meet this year’s new apprentices.”
