GMB PARAMEDIC STRIKE LOOMS AS NWAS STAFF BALLOTED FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION IN LONG-RUNNING PAY DISPUTE
After almost 13 years, our members are now saying enough is enough says GMB.
GMB, the union for ambulance staff, is balloting paramedics in the North West for strike action in a long running pay dispute.
Paramedics working for North West Ambulance Service have waited patiently for the outcome of job re-evaluation going back more than12 years.
Now they have had enough.
The industrial action ballot closes on May 3.
Mike Buoey, GMB Organiser, said:
“Our members have been astonishingly patient in waiting for their job to be re-evaluated for the years between 2005 to 2016.
“When this was finally completed two years ago, we re-entered into discussions with NWAS in good faith,, but they are refusing to budge.
“After almost 13 years, our members are now saying enough is enough.”
