GMB official industrial action ballot at Kingspan Insulation in Herefordshire in pay dispute.
Company will get result on 24th June with request for further talks, if as expected members vote for action, and if there is no movement dates for action will be fixed says GMB.
72 GMB members employed by Kingspan Insulation in Leominster are taking part in an official ballot for industrial action in a dispute over pay. The ballot closes on Wednesday 24th June 2015.
Kingspan Insulation manufactures rigid insulation products and insulated systems for building fabric and building services applications. The extensive range of products is suitable for a variety of applications including: roofs; walls; dry lining; timber and steel framing; cladding systems; floors and ductwork. Kingspan Insulation Ltd is based in Pembridge, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 9LA.
David Day, GMB Regional Officer, said “This official ballot for industrial action is going ahead after GMB members voted to reject a 1.8% pay offer from the company. In response to that rejection the company were not prepared to increase the offer leaving the union with no alternative but to move to this ballot.
GMB will convey the outcome of the ballot to the company on 24th June and seek further talks, if as expected members vote for action. If there is no movement GMB will fix the dates for action.”
